Sue news
Well, I hope Sue’s doing a little better now. The vet gave her the SSRI Remeron to try to help stimulate her appetite. And some pacreatic enzymes to help her digest her food more effectively. And a subcutaneous IV kit. I think it took Jerry’s and my giving her a couple of Goober’s cortisone pills to calm her stomach enough to get her to finally eat some. I hope the sickness tide is turning for her now, especially since I’m going to Biloxi next weekend…and Jerry a few days later.

most difficult classes
I was trying to think of the most difficult courses I took in college. Here’s what I came up with:
- music theory and harmony: Holy Momma! And I don’t remember anything about it anymore, unfortunately
- Bach counterpoint: part of this might’ve been because I’d already gotten into medical school and was about worn out with college. My only C in college. It didn’t help that I turned in a 16-measure-, 4-part fugue one class late (so I could finish up the last two measures) and saw my grade on the project go from a B to a D!!
- biochemistry: I had to scrape out a B, but thought it’d help to take this before I was assaulted with it in medical school
- logic: I took this as an elective, along with Jerry, and barely scraped out a B. Jerry’s still not over taking an elective and getting a C in it!

blood test
Well, Sue’s blood test came back pretty normal, so I don’t know what’s up with her. The vet can do some x-rays and/or ultrasounds, to try to find out why Sue is getting so thin. Could be that her digestive tract isn’t properly absorbing nutrients. We’ll see.

Sue’s diary entry on Catster
I set up a page for Sue on Catster. Here’s the diary entry I wrote for her:

I think I’m in trouble, so I need you to keep your fingers crossed for me. I’m getting older, I know, but I’m not ready to go yet. But I don’t have much appetite all of a sudden and I’ve lost two of my previous 9 pounds. So I’m all skin and bones right now. I’m waiting to hear back from my doctor about what’s wrong with me. I hope it’s not too bad news. I know my “parents” are worried about me, especially since they’re supposed to go out of town next weekend.
